The Three Broomsticks was not Andrew's idea for a date. If he was a thirteen year old, than maybe he would take Rose there, maybe. However, he liked to believe himself capable of treating his girlfriend properly. Over the summer a new family had moved into Hogsmeade and opened their own small dining place. Nothing too fancy, if anything it was similar to a muggle bakery. At the least, he was hoping it was kept cleaner than The Three Broomsticks and The Hog’s Head.
He ran fingers through his recently buzzed head—a feeling that even a good amount of butterbeer could not top—as he leaned against the railing in-between the the boys’ and girls’ dorm rooms. Only for specific events, Andrew would take as long as possible to get ready. Rose had seen him sweaty and desperately in need of a shower enough times already, so he figured as long as he smelt nice and had a clean shave he was just fine. The boy glanced at his watch, hopefully his girlfriend would be ready to go before the third years were allowed to leave.

Rose swore as she looked over at the clock on her night stand. She needed to hurry up or it would be such a hassle to get to Hogsmeade. Or even worse, they'd run into James. True, there was no way to know all the repercussions of Spencer breaking up with him, but Rose never imagined that he'd start trying to crash her relationship with Andrew. And she knew that Andrew and James were really close friends, but it wasn't like Rose just sat on the sidelines for the last seven years. In other words, she had been friends with Andrew also so when they got together it shouldn't have been that big of a shock to James. Now maybe if she was going out with Sam, but lets not talk crazy here.
And here she was, wasting time worrying if she looked nice. It took her a good half of the morning trying to figure out what to wear before she gave up and settled with a simple t-shirt and jeans. Right now, the big debate was if she go with her classic messy pony-tail or actually keep her hair down for once. Rose took the risk and left it down before grabbing her jacket and sprinting down the stairs. Of course, Andrew as already waiting there. "Im sorry, I lost track of time" she apologized as she got closer. "We should hurry... You made sure James isn't following you or anything, right?" Rose continued as she completely rushed passed her boyfriend and headed for the portrait.
Rose looked over her shoulder to see if Andrew was following and then sighed. She was overreacting to the idea that her cousin might ruin this that she wasn't really focusing on what mattered most to her. "I'm sorry..." she said again, as she moved back closer to Andrew. "I was just in a hurry..." Rose got on her tip toes to kiss Andrew on the cheek. "You look nice.... and thank you for waiting." she said while offering him a smile.
